Back in a dev role thanks to a secondment opportunity at work. Same group, adjacent team. Splitting time across vendor DSL’s, rust, and python to build observability infra for physical systems. After more of a hardware focus really enjoying re-experiencing the freedom that software affords to rapidly (and safely, viably) iterate.

Personal transport has switched almost exclusively to a cargo bike. I’ve been a bike commuter for some time but going from “what I can carry in a backpack/trailer” to 80kg of cargo space (with some electric assist) has opened a new world.

My son (an increasing part of that 80kg) is also now 3 so enjoying more park time and active play. Slowly subjecting inspiring him to explore different approaches to problem solving and mathematical thinking via publications from the math circles movement, and learning along the way too.
